Children's Ministry (Bed Babies - 5th Grade)

The Children's Ministry of FBCC is designed to meet the needs of children from birth through 5th grade. We endeavor to provide a safe, loving environment where our members and visitors alike can learn their first lessons about God and His love for them. This includes policies covering topics such as leadership, infectious diseases, and hygiene; a security system to safeguard your child; and a staff of caring volunteers under the guidance of our Children's Minister.

We provide small group Bible study classes for our children during our morning worship services. We also provide Children's Choirs and Missions Education on Wednesday evenings. Recognizing the concrete nature of a child's thinking, we center our teaching on the subject areas of God, Jesus, the Bible, church, family, self, God’s creation, community, and the world. Varied and age-appropriate teaching methods, including the use of several learning centers as well as group experiences, are employed as a child progresses from the baby class through 5th grade.

We endeavor to engage all children by employing techniques that address different learning styles and multiple aptitudes. Curriculum is age-appropriate and contemporary to our culture while maintaining a sound Biblical basis in its content.

While our teaching seeks to meet the real world needs and experiences of real kids in today’s culture, ultimately the goal of our ministry is to help your child grow just like Jesus, “in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52)

Our Children's Minister provides activities for children grades 1 through 5 with parties, monthly activities and summer trips.

Youth Ministry (6th - 12th Grade)
The Youth Ministry of the FBCC exists to enable students to discover a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and grow in that relationship. This involves a two-fold approach to minister to students. The first approach includes students sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. The second method is that of discipling believers and assisting them in their own spiritual growth. Our desire is that this is done in the framework of families growing in maturity to be like Christ.

We have many fun and engaging opportunities for our youth ministry -- small group bible study, discipleship classes, youth retreats, summer mission trips, and youth fellowships.

College and Adults Ministry
In Discipleship Training, we now offer a Sunday evening program with a variety of topical studies that include doctrinal studies, special Bible studies just for women, Bible studies for adults and training teachers to teach.

We also offer classes dealing with daily living issues such as divorce, single parenting, grief support, depression and others.

Our small group Bible study classes serve a variety of special ministries including career singles, adult singles, and singles again. For all classes, the Bible is our text book with supplemental literature prepared by the Southern Baptist Convention.

Senior Adults Ministry
In addition to participating in small group Bible study classes, Discipleship classes, and missions, we also offer other activities catered to our senior adults. Our Senior Adults enjoy monthly day trips, an annual overnight trip, as well as Seniors Fellowship Choir.

Disipleship Ministry
In Discipleship Training, we now offer a Sunday evening program with a variety of topical studies that include doctrinal studies, special Bible studies just for women, Bible studies for adults and training teachers to teach. There are age level classes for perschoolers, children and youth that take place during these adult studies.

Worship Enhancement
Worship is one of the highest priorities here at FBCC. Each service is planned to allow us to enter into God’s presence and truly experience His manifest grace and mercy. The spoken Word and the sung Word in corporate worship powerfully impact the lives of believers. We want to be more about authenticity in worship than style. Our style may vary from Sunday to Sunday but our goal remains the same, to meet God here. We want to be more about worship from the heart than worship about the art. We want to be more about being real than being trendy. We want to be committed to letting worship affect our daily living and impact our culture for Christ.

The Worship Enhancement Ministry exists to allow an opportunity for worshipers to participate in leading worship through Choir, Praise Teams, Drama and Visual Arts. There is an opportunity to serve in the Worship Enhancement Ministry for all ages with our rehearsals generally taking place on Wednesday evenings. We also have opportunites to serve by participating in our sound reinforcment and projection ministries.

Baptist Women and Women's Ministry
Our Baptist Women's Ministry engages in "Roundtable" Bible studies, a number of Nursing home ministries, both day and evening missions groups, and a multitude of mission opportunities. We have activities for girls ages 4 through 12 in our GA program.

Our Baptist Brotherhood
Our Baptist Men have a monthly breakfast meeting for prayer and fellowship. We also have missions activities for boys ages 4 through 12 with the RA program.
